Erin Freeman
Working with recently arrived refugee children in Ioannina, Greece.
Erin's belief in the fundamental human right to seek safety and dignity led her to found Project Hope 4 Kids in 2015. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing refugee children with the community, support, education, and tools they need to not just survive but thrive in their lives and communities. Since its inception, Project Hope 4 Kids has been making a tangible difference in the lives of these children.
Erin has seen firsthand the devastation and deplorable conditions of hundreds of thousands of refugees who have fled their war-torn countries during her years working in refugee camps overseas in Europe. In these camps, she saw what happens to children without an education. A child out of school is not just a tragedy for that child, it makes us all weaker and more vulnerable.
Education, empowerment, community, and safety for all children are the keys to a bright future. Erin holds a bachelor of science in psychology with a minor in family and human development and is enrolled in the master of public policy and administration program at the University of Utah. Married for 18 years, she has four boys and believes in the power of our greater community and in lifting one another up to reach our highest potientials.
